Guided tour to the Zugspitze (highest mountain of Germany)

the Zugspitze ist the highest mountain in Germany with an altitude of 2962 meters - with a fantastic view of the mountains of four countries.

We ride the historic cog railway up to the Schneeferner glacier. At wintertime we will visit the igloo village. During a small walk we visit the chapel and the famous Schneeferne-house. Everything accompanied with small anecdotes about the Zugspitze, its development and the history.

Afterwards, we proceed to the summit using the cablecar. At the viewing platform we see the Zugspitz-cross and I'll explain the fantastic panorama. We proceed towars the Austrian side of the Zugspitze passing the old weather obervation tower which is still in use (Germanys highest weather station) and the historic "Münchner Haus". On request we can top by the panorama-hall for a good and solid snack, maybe accompanied with a coffee or beer.

The Eibsee-cableway will bring us down to the valley. A stop at the lake "Eibsee" with its marvellos view can be added.
